Harvey Lansford was born & raised on a 110,000 acre ranch in South Texas and he’s been on ranches his entire life. His passions are horses, roping, ranching and traveling.
Harvey and his wife moved to the Texas Hill Country in the late 1980s. In the ‘90s he noticed he had accumulated quite a bit of old ropes from his team roping events. He decided there must be a way to put those old ropes to good use. It was then that he began creating his lovely baskets made of old team ropes. Every basket is different and he
especially enjoys using ropes with varied colors – greens, blues, oranges, etc. He has expanded his line to include not only baskets but, mirrors, clocks, wrapped candles, lamps and his wife’s favorite – The Easter Basket.
Currently, Harvey spends most of his time managing ranches and working cattle. In his spare time, he takes his old ropes and turns them into a functional piece of art. You can find Harvey’s lovely baskets in numerous ranch homes across the Texas Hill Country and beyond.
