Dottie
Moon, a harried housewife and mother, going to school studying
Criminal Justice and working for a Family Crisis Center …..
desperately needed a tension tamer!

She’s always had a “project” in the works, needlepoint, counted
cross-stitch, painting and
even leatherwork. One day, she admired a beaded watch on a
girlfriend’s wrist and her
friend said, “Oh, you can do it, I’ll show you how!” Much to her
husband’s
chagrin, that
started it for Dottie.
Some
of Dottie’s work is ethnic, like the Milagros necklace, but her
favorites are designs with a southwestern touch. She’s always felt
respect for Native American people. Their culture represents beauty,
simplicity and a reverence for life that
seems to be disappearing in our modern world. Her husband is of
Cherokee descent but
Dottie is basically German and English, although she was once
told she was an Osage Indian in a prior life! Who knows, maybe
that’s where her connection comes from!
