Tom
and his wife Jan moved from the San Antonio area to the Hill Country
where his art has been shown in exhibits at the Hill Country Art
Foundation and the Local Color Gallery in Fredericksburg. Tom is a
graduate from the University of Texas, Austin. For years he and his
wife exhibited their “hand painted” floral designs on clay medium. Tom
attended the Southwest School of Art and Craft experimenting with the
multiple aspects of hand made creations. He studied under national
artist, Bonnie Siebert, for three years and
has attended classes
provided by local Fredericksburg artists. His real “joy” has always
been “art on canvas”. Influenced by 19th century artists,
his style reflects a unique color palette reflecting the mood of day to
day experiences. Travels to Europe, Mexico, and throughout the United
States play a great part in the “mood” of Tom’s paintings.
Tom
is represented by Artisans at Rocky Hill,
Fredericksburg, Texas where his customers from out of state and
central and south Texas enjoy first hand an exhibit of his unique
style and color combinations.
“Life is
a great big canvas and you should throw all the paint on it you
can.” Danny Kaye |
